1. Who we are

Fated Updates is operated by VagueDustin Enterprises (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data we process when you use the Service and why.

2. Data we collect

When you sign in with Discord and configure notifications, we process:

  • Discord account data obtained through OAuth using the identify and guilds scopes: your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and the list of servers you are a member of (used to show the servers you can administer).
  • A Discord access token, stored encrypted inside your signed session, used solely to read your server list on your behalf. We never receive or store your Discord password.
  • Configuration you create: the streamers you monitor, the target channels, mention settings, and any custom message text.
  • Operational logs needed to run and debug the Service.

3. How we use your data

We use this data only to operate the Service: to authenticate you, to display the servers you administer, and to deliver go-live notifications to the channels you configure. We do not use it for advertising.

4. Third-party services

To detect live streams and render notifications, the Service communicates with the Discord, Twitch, Kick, and IGDB APIs. Their processing of data is governed by their own privacy policies. We share with these services only what is necessary to perform the requested action (for example, posting your notification to the Discord channel you selected).

5. We do not sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We disclose data only as needed to operate the Service, to comply with the law, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

6. Data retention

Your monitor configuration is retained until you delete it or remove the bot from your server. Session tokens expire according to Discord’s token lifetime. You can remove all configuration at any time by deleting your monitors and removing the bot.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie strictly to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Your rights

You may delete your monitors and revoke the application’s access from your Discord account settings at any time, which removes the associated configuration. For any other data request, contact us using the details below.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypting the session that holds your Discord token. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, announced through the Service.
